What happens when a customer asks something the bot doesn't know?
It says so and hands off. The bot only answers from what you trained it on (your site, your PDFs, your notes); if the answer isn't there, it doesn't invent one: it tells the customer it doesn't have that answer and passes the chat to a person on your team.
Will it work for my kind of business?
If your customers message you about hours, prices, stock, bookings or quotes, yes. It works the same for a shop, a home service, a class studio or a workshop. A sign shop in Canada trained it on its own website and runs it today. Do I need verified Meta Business for WhatsApp?
No. You scan a QR with the business phone, like WhatsApp Web: the bot replies on the number you already have, not a new one. You still see every chat and can reply any time; when you reply, the bot pauses on that conversation.
Does the bot confirm bookings on its own?
No. It takes the request (service, day, time and contact) and emails it to you; you confirm. It isn't connected to your calendar or Google Calendar, on purpose: it never promises a slot you don't have.
