Use ChatbotGen from ChatGPT or Claude

Create a demo chatbot from your website, add knowledge, and keep it in ChatbotGen.

You can ask ChatbotGen to build a demo chatbot from a public website while chatting with ChatGPT or Claude. Directory availability may vary; use a custom connector if your host account supports it. Account-connected features are not yet generally enabled.

  1. Connect ChatbotGen

In ChatGPT, use Developer mode to add a custom connector with https://www.chatbotgen.com/mcp/chatgpt and no authentication. In Claude, add a custom connector with https://www.chatbotgen.com/mcp/claude. These options depend on your host account.

  2. Create and train

Ask: “Make me a chatbot for https://example.com.” Use your own public website URL. Ask “Is it done training yet?” to check progress. You can add another page, paste text such as opening hours, or provide a question and its exact answer.

  3. Try and keep it

Open the returned chat link to test the replies. Use Keep it to save the chatbot to your ChatbotGen account. From the dashboard, continue configuring it and connect your website, WhatsApp, or Telegram as your plan allows.

Demo chatbots answer up to 10 messages. Claim links expire after 7 days. Training runs in the background, so check the status before testing. Demo access does not let you list or edit existing workspace chatbots. These tools add knowledge; they do not delete or overwrite it.
