How to add a chatbot to Framer

Before you start

You need permission to edit your site and a trained chatbot.

1. Copy your ChatbotGen script

1. Open your chatbot.
2. Open Channels.
3. Open Web Widget.
4. Click Copy beside Embed script.

2. Install the script

1. Open Project Settings.
2. Choose Custom Code.
3. Click Add Script or the + icon.
4. Name the script ChatbotGen.
5. Paste the embed script and choose the end of the body as its placement.
6. Choose Once to avoid duplicate widget initialization.
7. Publish your changes.

3. Verify installation

1. Open the published site in a private browser window.
2. Click the chat bubble.
3. Send a question answered by your training content.
4. Check the reply.

If the widget does not appear

Check that you published your changes and pasted the script only once. Clear any website cache. Test without browser content blockers.
